Radical Activist Judge James Boasberg Faces Removal as Sens. Cruz and Schmitt Call for IMPEACHMENT Over Repeated Abuse of Power

In a fiery Senate hearing that exposed the deep rot within our politicized judiciary, Republican Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Eric Schmitt (R-MO) laid out a devastating case for the impeachment of radical Obama-appointed Judge James Boasberg.

For years, conservatives have watched as the federal judiciary has been weaponized against patriots, and now, the GOP is fighting back.

Cruz and Schmitt argued that Boasberg has fundamentally violated the public trust, acting not as an impartial arbiter of the law, but as a political operative wearing a “blue jersey” to protect the Deep State and persecute Republicans.

Speaking during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday, Cruz laid out a damning case for impeaching not just Boasberg but also fellow leftist Judge Deborah Boardman, who infamously slapped a wrist on the would-be assassin of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

“Rarer still, until now, were the deeper offenses the framers feared most—judges who, without necessarily breaking a criminal statute, violate the public trust, subvert the constitutional order, or wield their office in ways that injure society itself,” Cruz said. “That is why, throughout history, Congress recognized that impeachable misconduct need not be criminal.”

The focus of Cruz’s ire involves the controversial and unconstitutional gag orders Boasberg signed in 2023.

These orders allowed Special Counsel Jack Smith, who has led the witch hunt against President Trump, to obtain phone records of Republican Congress members while keeping them in the dark.

The hearing exposed how Judge Boasberg acted as a rubber stamp for Jack Smith’s aggressive tactics. Smith subpoenaed phone records of GOP members of Congress regarding the 2020 election and January 6, seeking gag orders to prevent the Senators from knowing they were being surveilled.

Boasberg authorized it all.

While Smith and court officials now claim Boasberg “was not notified” that the targets were members of Congress, witnesses at the hearing weren’t buying it.

Rob Luther, a law professor at George Mason University, blasted the judge for being “willfully blind.”

“One must ask on what basis Judge Boasberg found that the disclosure of subpoenas would result in destruction of or tampering with evidence, intimidation of potential witnesses, and cause serious jeopardy to the investigation,” Luther testified. “Did Judge Boasberg merely rubber stamp the requested gag order, or was he willfully blind?”

But Sen. Eric Schmitt took it to the next level, eviscerating Boasberg as a partisan hack in a black robe.

Schmitt dismantled the idea that Boasberg is impartial, stating clearly that the judge is playing for the Democrats.

“Judge Boasberg doesn’t judge cases involving President Trump impartially,” Schmitt said. “He has made it clear time and time again in his rulings and his comments that he, instead of wearing that black robe, wears, in fact, a blue jersey.”

Schmitt listed the abuses of power that warrant immediate impeachment:

  1. Forcing himself onto hot-button political cases.
  2. Abusing his power in the judicial conference to fear-monger about a nonexistent “constitutional crisis.”
  3. Rubber-stamping gag orders on subpoenas against U.S. Senators.
  4. Attempting to hold DOJ lawyers in contempt for a case the Supreme Court ruled he had no jurisdiction over.
  5. Sitting on the circuit judicial council, which would conveniently be able to overturn disciplinary action taken against him.

“We have to be able to check a rogue judge through the impeachment process, and I don’t say that lightly,” Schmitt concluded. “The House must exercise that power.”

In an X post, Schmitt wrote:

The Boasberg Timeline:

• March 11: Fearmongers against the Trump Admin to fellow Judges

• March 15 (Morning): Forces himself onto Alien Enemies Act Case

• March 15 (Afternoon): Demands Trump Admin “turn the planes around”

• April 7: Slapped down by SCOTUS

On Wednesday, Cruz sent a letter to Speaker Johnson urging the House to move forward with articles of impeachment against Judges Boasberg and Boardman.

If the House votes to impeach, the battle moves to the Senate. While a conviction requires a two-thirds vote, putting these radical judges on trial exposes the corruption of the two-tiered justice system for all of America to see.
