More than four million Americans quit their jobs in October as the Great Resignation shows no signs of stopping.
The 4.2million - 2.8 per cent of the US work force - gave in their notice in search of better opportunities amid a surge in job openings, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The figures were just slightly down from the August record of 4.3million.
Job openings also rose about four percent in October to 11 million which was just below July's peak of 1.1 million.
