As Roe V Wade Potentially Unravels, Liberal Politicians Renew Calls To Pack The Supreme Court
The Supreme Court heard oral arguments for Dobbs V. Jackson Women’s Health Organization on Wednesday. The case has the potential to significantly roll back access to abortion and undo much of Roe V. Wade. The court seemed opened to upholding Mississippi’s 15-week abortion ban as the court’s conservative justices seemed skeptical of the defendant’s arguments. In the face of a potentially disastrous defeat for pro-abortion Democrats across the country, liberal politicians are having a full scale meltdown and even threatening to pack the courts.
“A ‘conservative’ court would uphold precedent. But a ‘partisan’ court may not — and this may be the most partisan court in history,” Rep. Adam Schiff said in response to the case. “We must protect a woman’s right to choose.”
Senator Tina Smith (D-Mn.) also renewed calls to pack the court to ensure that access to abortion isn’t hampered.
“What’s happening today is the Supreme Court is hearing arguments for ending Roe and people’s freedom to get an abortion.” She said.
If the Supreme Court were to uphold Mississippi’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks, it would lead to abortion bans across the country. The pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute estimates that 26 states would impose further restrictions on abortion or outright bans. It’s no wonder the left is melting down.
