We’re living in tense times. There’s no way around that, but we’re not exactly in the business of fear-mongering over here.
The reason I’m writing that out is that the point of sharing these series of Tweets from a New York ER doctor is NOT to scare you. Period. We wish to highlight the very real struggles of those on the frontlines of battling a pandemic. It’s a heroic effort, and heroic things are never easy.

And to add to the chorus, I’d like to thank everyone in the medical profession who’s been on the frontlines of battling COVID-19.
I actually have some family members that work as health officials and in hospitals, and while I’m not exactly terrified for them, I’m deeply concerned, to say the least. We’re living through extraordinary times, and we wouldn’t have a chance of making it through without people willing to help in every capacity that they can, and I will always be grateful that we have people that are willing to step up and help.
