Tucker Carlson Teases Interview With Gina Carano On Trans Pronouns, Mask Mandates, Star’s Return To The Screen

Gina Carano, star of The Daily Wire’s “Terror on the Prairie,” joined Tucker Carlson for a long-form interview that will air Thursday morning, and the Fox News host gave his audience a teaser Wednesday night of what to expect from the actress.

In the short clip of the interview played by Fox News, Carano discussed the leftist demands Lucasfilm allegedly gave her when she starred in Disney’s “The Mandalorian.” Carano was let go by Disney in February 2021 after she criticized draconian COVID lockdowns and mask mandates, but she revealed to Carlson that Lucasfilm also wanted her to get in line on transgender issues.

“When I wouldn’t hashtag ‘trans rights,’ when I wouldn’t put my pronouns in [my bio], they kept on like pressuring me, and finally I just said ‘I’m not doing this.’” the actress said.

“Well, then I put ‘beep, bop, boop,’” Carano explained. “That just meant I could put anything I want in my bio, I can do whatever I want.”

Soon after being cut by Disney, Carano partnered with The Daily Wire to produce and develop her own film, which debuted June 14. “Terror on the Prairie” is a Western starring Carano as a frontier woman fighting for survival against a ruthless gang of outlaws, which is kind of perfect considering what she’s been through.

The “Terror on the Prairie” star told Carlson how she was among the first to speak out against mask mandates and transgender pronouns. Carano said taking a stand on those issues put a target on her back, especially in Hollywood.

She told the story of her former employer allegedly asking her to get on a Zoom call with 45 members from the LGBTQ community and watch documentaries on the lives of transgender people. Carano said she was willing to watch the films and talk with LGBTQ individuals, but asking her to get on a live Zoom call was too much.

“I’m not going to get on a Zoom call with 45 different people who can have their phones out videotaping me. I feel like that’s extremely abusive,” the actress explained.

“That’s a brave woman,” Carlson said after playing the clip from his pre-recorded interview with Carano. The full interview will be released Thursday at 7:00 a.m. ET on Fox Nation, where the conservative host will talk with Carano on the circumstances around her Disney firing and triumphant return to the screen in “Terror on the Prairie.”
