NY Woman ARRESTED For Illegally Injecting Teen with COVID Vaccine On New Year’s Eve Without Parental Consent [VIDEO]
On New Year’s Eve, a teacher from Long Island, Laura Russo, was arrested after being captured on video giving a COVID vaccine to a 17-year-old boy at her home without permission from the boy’s parents.
Russo was a science teacher in Herricks Public Schools in New Hyde Park but has been removed due to the ongoing investigation and criminal charges against her.
The school’s district officials gave a brief comment to NBC News 4, saying, “The individual in question is a district employee who has been removed from the classroom and reassigned pending the outcome of the investigation.”
Russo is neither a medical professional nor is she authorized to administer vaccines. Despite this, she proceeded to give her son’s friend a vaccine when he was over at her house. The friend said his mom didn’t want him to get the jab and asked Russo to give it to him while he was there.
Unfortunately for Russo, her son thought his mom’s at-home vaccine clinic would be a good social media post for him. The caption on this video reads, “never been so uncomfy in his life”, referring to the teen getting vaxxed.
The video, released by News 4, shows Russo prepping the vaccine for the teen, whose face is blurred out for privacy.

According to authorities, Russo indeed had a vial of an approved COVID vaccine at her house. The teen also confirmed with his mother that he got the vaccine when he returned home from Russo’s, prompting the mother to notify the police.
On top of this, the single-dose vaccine, reportedly Johnson & Johnson, is only approved for individuals 18 and older.
Russo has been charged with the unauthorized practice of a profession under New York state education law and is set to appear in court later this month.
