Nick Reiner Pleads Not Guilty in Brutal Stabbing Murder of His Parents

Actor/director Rob Reiner, 78, and his wife, Michelle, 68, were brutally murdered in their home in Brentwood, California, in December 2025.
The couple, who had been stabbed to death, were found by their daughter, Romy, after they failed to show up to an appointment.
The New York Post reported that Nick Reiner, who struggled with a drug addiction and had a reputation for violence, was arrested on December 15 and charged with first-degree murder the following day.
Page Six reported that Nick Reiner “really resented his dad.”
Reiner was open about his son Nick’s drug addiction and made a movie about the family’s experience with his drug problem.
According to TMZ, on Monday, as he entered the courtroom for his arraignment, Nick smirked at the audience before pleading not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder.
He is being represented by deputy public defender Kimberly Green after big-league lawyer Alan Jackson withdrew from the case.
Nick faces a maximum sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty and is currently being held without bail at Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles.
