Shocking moment man, 74, ‘threatens golfers with a BB gun after they used a golf car to drive over a wooden bridge meant for pedestrians’ in Florida

A Florida man was arrested after he reportedly threatened a group of golfers with an BB gun, according to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.
John Robert Orr, 74, was taken into police custody Friday and charged with seven counts of aggravated assault. He’s being held on a $2,500 bond.
Deputies said in a press release that Orr was upset with golfers at the Conservatory Gold Course in Palm Coast.
The golfers were allegedly driving golf cars on the putting greens and a wooden bridge designated for walking.

Orr had previously yelled at golfers from his nearby home and told them they were violating course rules.
Orr told deputies that he tried to contact golf rangers about the situation, but took matters into his own hands when they didn’t respond.
After a verbal altercation with the group of golfers, Orr disappeared into his home and soon re-emerged with a Winchester Air Rifle.
‘The golfers told deputies that they were in fear for their lives,’ the press release said.

‘Grabbing a gun of any kind is not the way to solve an argument and could have ended much differently. If you cannot resolve it peacefully, call law enforcement and let us handle the situation.’
Orr has no previous arrest history in Flager County.
