The storm is expected to bring massive amounts of snow and severe flooding in the southern part of the U.S., according to the Associated Press (AP).

“It will be a busy week while this system moves across the country,” National Weather Service Meteorologist Marc Chenard said, reported the AP.

Areas from Montana to western Nebraska to Colorado were under blizzard warnings Monday, the AP reported. These areas are reportedly expected to see as much as two feet of snow.

Parts of Iowa, Minnesota, and South Dakota could see up to half an inch of ice, the outlet reported. “This is a ‘we are not kidding’ kind of storm,” the South Dakota Department of Public Safety tweeted Monday.

The storm has already dumped 54.5 inches of snow at the U.C. Berkley Central Sierra Snow Lab near Lake Tahoe, according to the AP.

A tour bus in northern Utah flipped as a result of the snow in the area Monday, the AP reported. At least 23 passengers were injured in the crash.
