New Poll Predicts Disaster For Democrats A Week Before Midterms

A recent poll found that over 80% of American voters believe that Republicans will win control of one or both of the Chambers of Congress after the midterm elections.

According to the poll, 66% of voters do not believe that President Biden and Democrat leaders have earned voters’ support in the upcoming November 2022 election.

“The American people are wise, pragmatic, and understand what needs to be done to get the nation back on track, despite the fact that so many elected officials in Washington, DC do not,” said Mark Meckler, President of the Convention of States. “In the final estimation, voters–even Democratic voters–have determined that the current leadership is not getting it done, and believe Republicans will sweep big on election day.”

The national survey, conducted by the Convention of States Action, in partnership with The Trafalgar Group, polled more than 1,000 likely 2022 election voters in late October. The voter profile consisted of 39.3% Democrat voters, 35.6% Republicans, and 25.1% independent or unaffiliated voters.

When asked if they “believe President Biden and Democrat leadership have made a strong enough case as to why Democrat candidates should earn voters’ support in the 2022 elections,” the poll found that 65.9% of respondents answered “no.”

Most notably, 75.4% of independent or unaffiliated voters, who have the ability to swing elections, do not believe that Democrats have earned their vote. The overwhelming majority of Republican voters (96%) and a portion of Democrats (28.5%) do not believe President Biden and Democrat leaders have made a strong case to earn the American peoples’ vote.

78.3% of Hispanics, 56.2% of Asians, 52.6% of black voters, 66.5% of white voters, and 74.3% of respondents of unspecified ethnicity all indicated that Biden and Democrats had not earned the support of American voters.

When asked to predict what the outcome of the upcoming midterm election results would be, 80.5% of respondents said that Republicans will win control of one or both of the Chambers of Congress. 50.2% say Republicans will win control of the House and Senate, and 30.3% say Republicans will win control of one chamber and Democrats will maintain control of the other. Only 19.5% Democrats will maintain control of the House and Senate.

87.5% of Hispanics, 86.6% of Asians, 65.4% of black voters, 81.4% of white voters, and 88.3% of respondents of unspecified ethnicity all believe that Republicans will win control of one or both of the Chambers of Congress.

One contentious issue that may lend to voters’ prediction of a Republican landslide in the midterms is Democrats’ adoption of the controversial “gender-affirming” model of care as part of their platform. “Gender-affirming” care allows children and adolescents, who have recently decided on a trans-identity, access to puberty blocking drugs, cross-sex hormones, and gender-related surgeries, that may have permanent and sterilizing effects on them. President Biden recently doubled down on his stance of allowing minors full access to irreversible medical interventions in a video interview with transgender TikToker Dylan Mulvaney last month.

A new poll from October found that nearly 75% of American voters with an opinion on the issue believe that the transgender movement has “gone too far” by encouraging minors to use drugs and surgeries to appear like the opposite sex. Another recent poll found that nearly 80% of American voters believe minors should be required to wait until they are adults to pursue transgender procedures.
