Crazy LGBTQ+ activists hired as chaplains, 'spiritual care interns' at Wisconsin children's hospital: 'Love Jesus. Be gay. Get ordained'

A children's hospital in Wisconsin has recently come under fire after the public became aware that it had hired at least two leftist, LGBTQ+ activists to offer religious and spiritual guidance to kids and parents in need.

On Monday, Kylee Griswold of the Federalist shared two fliers that had recently circulated around inpatient units at Children’s Wisconsin in Milwaukee, a nonprofit organization that, according to its website, is "dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children."

The fliers are intended to introduce patients and families to two new advisers who had lately been brought in to provide spiritual care. However, background information about the two advisers is nothing short of shocking.

New chaplain Kate Newendorp not only includes her preferred pronouns on her flier, but she also goes into great detail about her so-called fiancé named Jensen, a biological woman who goes by "they/he" pronouns. Last January, Newendorp created a GoFundMe account to help Jensen raise money so that she can undergo "top surgery," a euphemism for the surgical removal and destruction of healthy female breast tissue. The account generated over $1,600 before closing.

The two women intend to get "married" next June, according to the flier.

A further dive into Newendorp's social media activity reveals even more alarming leftist advocacy. Earlier this year, she wrote on Facebook: "Love Jesus. Be gay. Get ordained.

"What better way to celebrate Pride than being ordained?!" she stated. "Many thanks to my church and classis for being willing to stand for queer folks being included in ministry and for allowing me to follow God's call."

In June 2021, Christ Community Reformed Church in New York confirmed on Facebook that "Reverend Kate Newendorp" had been officially ordained. However, Newendorp must eventually have faced some pushback regarding her ordination, because, in October, she wrote on her own Facebook wall, "Also your casual reminder that my validity as an ordained minister is currently under review by my denomination because of the love I feel for my fiancé.

"Do better Church, because I'm not going anywhere. I was called," she added.

Elsewhere, Newendorp has also advocated for unfettered abortion access as a matter of "religious freedom" and for Democrat politicians who do not acknowledge that marriage is between one man and one woman. Her social media accounts have since turned private.

And Newendorp is not the only alarming spiritual adviser now on staff at Children's Wisconsin. "Spiritual care intern" Meg Trimm has also recently joined the team, and she has offered on TikTok similarly heretical thoughts about God and gender.

"God is trans!" Trimm, who uses "they/them" pronouns, insisted in one video.

"I am becoming convinced more and more that being TRANSGENDER is not strange or broken to God, but possibly an integral part of God’s saving work," she added in the video message. "If God is beyond gender then perhaps God is pangender or/agender. Then perhaps God is non-binary. And then God BECAME a man."

Between Newendorp and Trimm's anti-Christian advocacy and the fact that Children's Wisconsin offers a "Gender Health Clinic" designed to assist minors up to 16 "with gender identity development and transition concerns," some have openly doubted whether the hospital can actually meet the sometimes pressing spiritual needs of patients and families, especially those who espouse traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs.

"[T]his feels like a step too far," one former employee told the Federalist. "This feels like they have actively recruited activists into this field to further their progressive agenda.

"I think this situation really calls into question who do we want guiding the spiritual development of our children — especially children who are stuck in a hospital, isolated, sometimes alone, and extremely vulnerable and easily impressionable."

When the Federalist reached out to the hospital for comment, Andy Brodzeller, an external communications director, issued the following response:

"Our chaplains are trained to support and engage families of various faith and personal backgrounds in a health care setting. They only interact with patients if specifically requested by a family. Families are also always free to seek the services of their own personal faith leader.

"Regarding your question about parental involvement related to care for gender diverse kids, parents and guardians are essential to all care decisions. Clear, informed consent of all parents/guardians is required before proceeding with all treatments."
