New York City Using 14 Hotels to House Migrants Being Bussed in From Texas

New York City is now using 14 hotels to house the migrants being bussed in by Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

The governor has been sending the flood of migrants in his state to liberal cities and states, as well as Washington, DC.

On Saturday busses carrying 96 more migrants arrived in NYC from Texas. He has now sent over 1,500 to the sanctuary city as part of Operation Lone Star.

“Mayor Adams likes to sloganeer that ‘This is America’ and we need to start acting like it,” Governor Abbott wrote in a statement. “We are a nation of laws. It’s time to start enforcing them. Doing that would restore the ‘humanity’ he is clamoring for.”

“Texas is filling the gaps left in Biden’s absence at our border,” Abbott wrote on social media on Saturday. “We’ve made over 19,000 arrests, seized over 335.5M lethal fentanyl doses, & sent over 7,400 migrants on buses to DC and over 1,500 to NYC. While Biden ignores the crisis, Texas steps up.”

In a statement linked in his tweet, Governor Abbott said that “since the launch of Operation Lone Star, the multi-agency effort has led to more than 297,200 migrant apprehensions and more than 19,000 criminal arrests, with more than 16,400 felony charges reported. In the fight against fentanyl, DPS has seized over 335.5 million lethal doses during this border mission.”

“Texas has also bused over 7,400 migrants to our nation’s capital since April and over 1,500 migrants to New York City since August 5. The busing mission is providing much-needed relief to our overwhelmed border communities,” Abbott’s statement continued.

While the Democrat mayors of DC and NYC have refused to support fixing the border, they do not seem to appreciate it when their state is the one being flooded with migrants.

DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has been begging the National Guard to assist, in what she calls a “crisis,” which they have refused to do.

Manuel Castro, commissioner of the New York City Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, accused the governor of “weaponizing asylum seekers.”

“He’s weaponizing asylum seekers,” Castro said in a statement, according to Fox News. “It is shameful, and it is our moral obligation to condemn the use of human beings for political purposes.”

Governor Abbott has refused to back down.

“This is not a Texas problem; this is an American problem caused by the president,” said Governor Abbott. “We need more Americans to call on the president to uphold his oath of office and enforce the immigration laws of the United States.”
