Woman Runs Onto Set of Russian TV Holding Brutal Message For Putin and His Regime [VIDEO]

During Monday’s live evening broadcast on Channel One Russia, the country’s most prominent news network, a woman ran onto the set with a sign and said “No to war! Stop the war!” in Russian.

While the popular anchor, Ekaterina Andreeva, was speaking on air, the demonstrator ran up behind her and held up the sign so the viewers could read its message. The sign, written in Russian, read, “Stop the war! Don’t believe propaganda! They’re lying to you here!” In English, it also said “No war” and “Russians against war”.

Immediately, the broadcast cut to a pre-recorded report.

This video clip has since gone viral, generating widespread support for the protestor’s bravery to stand against the Kremlin.

The woman who ran behind the anchor to protest Russia’s war was identified as Marina Ovsyannikova, one of the editors at Channel One.

Before this demonstration, Ovsyannikova recorded a video that has gone viral since she appeared on television. In this pre-recorded video, the editor accused the network of promoting propaganda and lying to the Russian public.

“What’s happening in Ukraine is a crime and Russia is the aggressor. And there is only one person responsible for this, this man is Vladimir Putin,” boldly announced Ovsyannikova. “My father is Ukrainian, and my mother is Russian, they have never been enemies, and this necklace is a symbol – that Russia must immediately stop this war and our brotherly nations can still come together.”

“Unfortunately, for the last few years I’ve been working for Channel One,” said Ovsyannikova, apologizing for her role at the news organization. “I’ve been doing Kremlin propaganda and I’m very ashamed of it – that I let people lie from TV screens and allowed the Russian people to be zombified.”

“We didn’t say anything in 2014 when it only just began,” she admitted. “We didn’t protest when the Kremlin poisoned Navalny. We just silently watched this inhumane regime. Now the whole world has turned away from us, and ten generations of our descendants won’t wash off the shame of this war.”

Ovsyannikova has reportedly been detained already by the Russian authorities. She potentially faces a few days in jail according to a report by Russian-state news agency TASS.
