TX High School Student Released On $75K Bond After Shooting 4 Individuals Is Arrested AGAIN

At approximately 9:15 am on October 6, the Arlington Police Department received several calls about a shooting inside the Timberview High School on the second floor. Four individuals were shot. Three of the victims are students, the fourth victim was a 25-year-old English teacher. The school was locked down following the shooting incident. A manhunt immediately began for 18-year-old George Timothy Simpkins.

Simpkins, who was accused of firing a .45 caliber gun during a fight with another student, turned himself in to authorities later that day and was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Here’s the video that allegedly shows the fight between Simpkins and another student that took place in the high school classroom. It’s not clear if Simpkins is the aggressor or the victim in the video.

Simpkins’ was released to his family, who claims they reached out to the school because he was being bullied in school, but they did nothing to help. He was released on a $75,000 bond.

Now, it’s being reported that Simpkins has been arrested again, this time, for a bond violation.

The Post Millennial reports – Initial reports indicated that Simpkins motivation had to do with bullying at the school. But according to local outlet FOX 4, “his family claimed he was being bullied but the Arlington police chief said he does not believe bullying played any role in the shooting.”

Simpkins’s family had previously launched a GoFundMe campaign on that same day of Oct. 7 2021 which wound up lasting a mere 24 hours.
That same night, he was found to be partying with his family in his home. According to the conditions of his bond, he is to wear a tracking device at all times, undergo regular testing for drug and alcohol use, and be under house arrest.
One of Simpkins’ victims, Zaccaeus Selby, 15 years old, was shot multiple times and rushed to the hospital. He is, however, expected to survive his injuries in the long term. One teacher was also shot in the back once, and another female student was grazed by one of the bullets from the gun Simpkins used.
