BREAKING UPDATE: Waukesha Suspect Darrell Brooks Scored ‘High’ In Pretrial Risk Assessment Before Waukesha Massacre

Darrell Brooks is currently standing trial for the murder of 6 people and injuring dozens of others after he allegedly ran down innocent paradegoers in a red SUV last month.  A public uproar ensued after it was discovered that he was released on bail of only $1,000 just days before the massacre.  The Milwaukee County District Attorney says the state’s bail recommendation was “inappropriately low” in Brooks’ previous case.  Brooks is a repeat offender who has been charged/convicted with multiple violent crimes and is a Tier 2 Sex Offender in the state of Nevada.  Now, it has been revealed that Brooks scored “High” in a pretrial risk assessment before his bail was set.  The Post Millenial Reports

“On Thursday, the pretrial risk assessment for Darrell Brooks, the man who reportedly plowed his car through Waukesha’s Christmas parade last month, killing 6, was revealed on social media, showing that the man scored extremely high on it. This indicates that the court was aware that he was at risk of committing future crimes.

In a pretrial risk assessment administered on November 5, Brooks scored a four out of six in Failure to Appear (FTA), and a six out of six in New Criminal Activity (NCA).”

In the case that was still ongoing at the time, Brooks was charged with resisting or obstructing an officer, felony bail jumping, 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct, and battery.

Near the end of the report, it found that “Mr. Brooks is diagnosed with a serious and persistent illness in which he is not receiving treatment for.”

Despite the District Attorney saying that his bail was inappropriately low, he has touted a progresive approach to bail/prison reform in the past.  When questioned about his approach, he said “Is there going to be an individual I divert, or put into a treatment program, who’s going to go out and kill somebody? You bet. Guaranteed. It’s guaranteed to happen,” he said. “It does not invalidate the overall approach.”
