Arrest of Illegal Immigrants Sets New Record For Month Of November

The Biden administrations reckless immigration policy continues to cause chaos at the border.  More than 1.7 million illegal immigrants have been detained in Fiscal Year 2021, according to the CBP.  Now, the CBP has revealed that arrests at the border for the month of November hit an all-time high, with 173,620 arrests made.  That is the highest for the month of November since immigration arrests have been recorded.  Arrests made this month increased 9 percent from the month of October.

A major factor behind the increase in arrests was an increase in families and unaccompanied migrant children.  President Biden eliminated President Trump’s ‘Remain in Mexico” policy that required asylum applicants to stay in Mexico while their applications were being processed.  After a surge in illegal immigration, the Biden administration reinstated the policy this week and plans to defend it in court.

Upon taking office, Biden issued a 100 day halt on most deportations, stopped construction of President Trump’s border wall, and ended his “remain in Mexico” policy.  President Trump saw illegal immigration reach a 17 year low during his administration.  “Mayorkas has eviscerated our interior immigration enforcement apparatus—meaning that once an illegal alien enters our country, they become virtually impossible to remove,” said Matthew Tragesser at the Federation for American Immigration Reform.

Biden’s immigration policy has had deadly consequences.  Last month,  a human smuggler with 6 illegal immigrants in his vehicle crashed in to a car, killing two.  The victims of the car crash were identified as a mother and daughter from Mission, Texas, ages 59 and 22.
