Mens 2021 ‘March Madness’ Basketball Tournament Begins – West Virginia Coach Wants to “Make WVU Hoops Great Again”

The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament is on again this year after being cancelled last year.  One program vows to Make Itself Great Again.

The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament often referred to as ‘March Madness’, is on again this year after taking last year off.  The NCAA notes that this year’s tournament is different from the past in at least one way:

The 2021 NCAA DI men’s basketball tournament will be unlike any March Madness that has come before. All games will be played in Indiana, with most in Indianapolis.

In addition, the first-round games, which are traditionally on Thursday and Friday during the first weekend of the event, are occurring this year on Friday and Saturday instead.

The field traditionally consisted s of 64 teams but a decade ago was increased to 68 of the best college basketball teams in the country.  T

One young team in the field has high hopes.  Coach Bob Huggins at West Virginia University is hoping his talented team plays as well as his teams in years past.  Huggins attended a press conference wearing a hat that said: “Make WVU Hoops Great Again”.

This hat is a spin-off of the slogan made famous by President Trump of “Make America Great Again”.

Good luck to all the teams but especially West Virginia University and their courageous coach Bob Huggins.
