Dr. Dre's estranged wife Nicole must 'tighten that belt' when it comes to spending as he foots her $300K monthly expenses amid ugly divorce

Dr. Dre's estranged wife Nicole must 'tighten that belt' when it comes to spending as she's accrued nearly $300,000 monthly expenses.

The popular rapper and producer is embroiled in an ugly divorce months after she filed to legally end their marriage on the grounds of irreconcilable differences.

While she seeks nearly $2million in monthly spousal support payments, sources told TMZ that Nicole will have to take an honest look into her finances as Dre fights to finalize the divorce.

Dre — who's full name is Andre Romelle Young — currently pays his ex $293,306 per month through the court order.

With a court-approved schedule combining multiple factors post divorce, Nicole could receive anywhere from $81,000 to $138,000 per month.

He launched another legal salvo in his contentious divorce from Nicole Young by producing a prenuptial agreement that his ex has refused to acknowledge last week.

The agreement states that property bought by either Dre or Young will be kept separate amid a divorce, TMZ reported on Wednesday.

Although the document may keep his estranged wife from taking ownership of his property, it still allows for her to receive spousal support in the divorce.

Despite the filing, it will be up to the judge overseeing the divorce to determine whether the prenup is valid and enforceable.

Young claimed that Dre (real name: Andre Young) had previously ripped up the agreement shortly after they were married, though he has denied her claim.

The prenup appears to state that it can only be revoked or altered in writing, and Dre claims that step was never taken.

The 55-year-old rap superproducer married Young (née Plotzker) in 1996, after she was previously married to NBA player Sedale Threatt.

She filed for divorce on the grounds of irreconcilable differences in June.

The 50-year-old attorney has requested stunning amounts from Dre during their divorce proceedings, including $5 million for her lawyer fees and $1.5 million for incidental expenses, including for security.

In October, the judge denied the request for security expenses and refused to expedite the $5 million for legal fees.

Young has request an astounding $2 million per month in spousal support from her ex-husband.

However, Dre's lawyer Laura Wasser claims that the Nuthin' But A 'G' Thang rapper has been covering all of her expenses since their separation.

His newest filing says that he is paying for their Malibu home where Young is currently residing, as well as for security.

In November, TMZ reported that Young had filed documents requesting that Dre be forced to testify in-person, rather than his preferred option of testifying remotely via video chat.

She claims he has been flouting coronavirus safety recommendations in his personal life, and the remote testimony might allow his lawyers to coach him.

Young is also trying to subpoena her ex-husband's alleged mistresses in their trial.

She and Dre share two children, a 23-year-old son Truice and a 19-year-old daughter Truly.
