Doctor's adorable grandson 'zoom bombs' his live MSNBC interview about the coronavirus and becomes the star of the show
A MSNBC news segment on the coronavirus pandemic was interrupted by a surprise guest after an expert's young grandson gatecrashed his live interview.
Dr Irwin Redlener, a pediatrician and adviser to New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, appeared on Deadline: White House with Nicolle Wallace on Thursday.
The doctor had been addressing the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases in the city, where infection rates rose to 3 per cent this week for the first time since June.
But amid the grim discussion, viewers were treated to some comic relief after Dr Redlener's grandson made a surprise appearance.

The little boy was seen entering the room in the background as his grandfather tried to keep his attention to the screen.
His presence eventually became too hard to ignore after he popped his head into the frame next to his grandfather, prompting Wallace and guest to break out in laughter.
'Oh boy,' Dr Redlener said, as he attempted push the boy out of the way.
'This is what remote learning looks like,' Wallace quipped.

Despite his best efforts, his grandson managed to steal the show after he climbed on his chair and stuck his tongue out to the camera, drawing more laughter.
'This is the best thing that I've seen,' Wallace said chuckling.
The little boy was eventually removed from the room.
