Tucker Carlson is slammed by celebrities including Lil Nas X, Seth Rogen and Halsey 'for lying' after he reeled off a list of stars 'funding the chaos and paying to get violent rioters out of jail'

Celebrities have slammed Tucker Carlson 'for lying' after he reeled off a list of stars  he accused of 'funding the chaos and paying to get violent rioters out of jail'.
The Fox News hosted named a number of stars in his show on Friday night, including Lil Nas X, Seth Rogen and Halsey, who he said were 'fueling' looting.
Massive protests against police brutality nationwide have been galvanized by the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police on Memorial Day.
Tucker said: 'Big companies — cynical, soulless, craven corporations like Pepsi, Intel and AirBnB — are funding this chaos. They're giving money to Black Lives Matter which is pushing to defund the police.
'But it isn't just major corporations that are fueling all of this. Celebrities are, too, by paying to get violent rioters out of jail.'
With footage of rioting and flames behind him, Carlson specifically called out rapper Lil Nas X, saying he 'urged' his '4.7 million Twitter followers to donate to bail groups in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia and elsewhere'.
He added: 'Imagine if he had used those followers instead to help small businesses destroyed by the riots he helped incite.'
But the Grammy award-winner hit back, tweeting: 'this man just lied and told millions of people on national television that i was inciting riots. you can't make this up.'

Authorities were not quick to release crowd size estimates, but it was clear tens of thousands of people — and perhaps hundreds of thousands — turned out nationally.
Wearing masks and urging fundamental change, protesters gathered in dozens of places from coast to coast while mourners in North Carolina waited for hours to glimpse the golden coffin carrying the body of native son Floyd.
Many cities lifted curfews imposed following initial spasms of arson, assaults and smash-and-grab raids on businesses. Authorities have softened restrictions as the number of arrests plummeted.
The largest U.S. demonstration appeared to be in Washington on Saturday, where protesters flooded streets closed to traffic.
