Brooklyn court officer is suspended for 'posting images depicting former President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton being lynched'

A court officer is under investigation after allegedly posting doctored images showing former President Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton being lynched.
Sergeant Terri Pinto Napolitano - who was last assigned to a court in Brooklyn - has been suspended after the images appeared on her Facebook page over the weekend.
The disciplinary action against her came as the US enters its third week of unrest sparked by the killing of unarmed black man George Floyd in the US.
One of the horrific graphics showed Obama swinging from a rope tied around his neck with the caption 'we will not yield' and 'your day is coming traitor', the New York Post reports.

The images - which have since been deleted from her page - shared the caption 'the true American dream'.

New York Chief Judge Janet DiFiore slammed the post, stating: 'This conduct is abhorrent, by anyone, at any time, and under any circumstances.
'But at this critical moment in our history — when our nation is reeling from the death of George Floyd and its aftermath — it is a sickening and unpardonable offense against every colleague in our court system, as well as the vast and diverse public we serve.'

The New York state Office of Court Administration confirmed that Sergeant Napolitano no longer has her gun and is on suspension for 30 days.
Floyd was killed when white police officer Derek Chauvin pressed his knee into his neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds despite his desperate pleas that he 'can't breathe'. He passed out and later died in Minneapolis on May 25.
His death is seen as a symbol of systemic police brutality against African-Americans sparking outrage and largely-peaceful protests first across the US before quickly spreading worldwide.
