This is the shocking moment a white man tells an Asian woman 'we're gonna bomb Hiroshima' after she accused him of racially abusing her son.

The middle-aged motorist began cursing and screaming at the woman and called her a 'Jap' after she confronted him for allegedly using a racial slur against her son in downtown Bethesda, Maryland, USA.

The unidentified victim asked if he called her son 'the N-word' and was told 'we're gonna annihilate Japan and you too' - a sick reference to atomic bombs dropped on the country by the US military in World War Two.

When she calmly pointed out she was not Japanese, the thug responded by challenging her to a fight before fleeing in his car after bystanders stepped in to defend her.

Footage of the incident - filmed by a witness - was shared anonymously on social media yesterday and has gone viral with more than 100,000 views.

A 'racist' white man was captured on video telling an Asian woman that 'we're going to bomb Hiroshima' after she accused him of calling her son the N-word outside of a bagel shop in Maryland

It shows the female victim approaching the unnamed suspect stood next to his car at the side of the road, who yells: 'Keep your distance.'

She asks: 'What did you just call him?'

He points and screams: 'Listen, I'm telling you, social distance.'

When she asks him again what he said to her son, he replies: 'I'm calling you a Jap.'

She says: 'Did you use the N-word to my son?'

He blasts back: 'No. F*** you. That's my speech. You're not my mother. Get outta here. Go get your bagels.'

She says 'shame on you', to which he responds: 'We're gonna drop a bomb on Hiroshima. We're gonna annihilate Japan and you too.'

As he gets back in his car, she says: 'I'm not even Japanese, you idiot racist.'

He then threatens her with violence but she bravely stands her ground and says: 'Okay, go ahead.'

He quickly retreats to his car when he is confronted by Good Samaritans who tell him to stop harassing her.

The stranger then tells the visibly-distressed victim: 'I'm so sorry, that's awful.'

Another bystander takes a photograph of the suspect as he drives away.

Viewers on social media were sickened by the man's behavior.

One said: 'He sounds like a sad, angry pre-schooler.'

Another wrote: 'Glad to see that guy stepping in and stopping the situation from escalating. Even apologizing to the lady on his behalf. Rare to see nowadays.' A third added: 'Notice how the coward runs to his car when someone shows up to defend her.'

A Montgomery County Police Department spokesman said: 'The MCPD is aware of the video circulating on social media of a 'road rage' incident occurring in Bethesda. 

'In the video, disturbing statements of a racial nature are made by an individual against an Asian woman. We have investigators looking into the event.'
