Cancer nurse, 47, is in £700 of debt for missed parking payments because she can't park all-day near hospital forcing her to pay £9 for four hours then return to buy another £9 ticket at lunch

A cancer nurse is in hundreds of pounds of debt because car parking near the hospital she works does not cover her shifts.
Louise Amery, 47, has been fined more than £700 because there are not enough parking spaces near Royal Sussex County Hospital, in Brighton, that can cover her nine hour shifts.
She explained to Metro that she pays £9 a day for a spot with only four hours and must move her car half way during her shift
Ms Amery said that it means she often misses out on her lunch break because she is looking for a new spot.

She was originally fined £35 pounds, but this has since risen to £100 because she has been unable to make her payments on time and afford them.
Despite her increasing bill she said that her 'issue' is not that she's has been ticketed.
'I really think there should be many, many more 11-hour bays available around the hospital,' she said.
'Most of my tickets were given when I was late to move the car around lunchtime, but there were a few days when I forgot to put money in,' she admitted.

The nurse also added that she has ruled out taking public transport as it is too expensive in her area.
Ms Amery told the publication that she has tried to contact Brighton and Hove City Council to explain her problem but has been unable to get in touch with anyone.
'My debt is just getting bigger and I am going to get a county court judgement. I am doing a bloody hard job and they're ticketing me while I'm working,' she said.
