Creator Of Adorable Alien Comic Strip Now Under BOYCOTT After Leftists Discover Single Pro-Life Tweet

Nathan Pyle, the creator of a viral internet comic strip called "Strange Planet," has been enjoying a brief moment of web-based notoriety — until it all came crashing down over the weekend because a leftist fan discovered a single, vaguely pro-life tweet Pyle made about his girlfriend.
Pyle's comics focus on a group of tiny space aliens trying to understand the world around them, navigating familiar things like birthdays, dinner parties, sunburns, and even current events, but in a cute, unexpected — and often completely inoffensive — way.
The four-panel comics appeared on the scene last month and quickly rose to dominate social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Pyle's comics were suddenly everywhere and his little bright blue aliens became overnight Internet superstars. At last count, Pyle's creations have more than a million followers on Instagram alone.
Until, it seems, a fan of "Strange Planet" began sifting through Pyle's old tweets, apparently looking for something — anything — to be offended by. Of couse, they found it: a single, mildly political tweet from 2017 in which Pyle recounts a story from his girlfriend, Soojin, who expressed gratitude for the March for Life.
"When I think of the #MarchForLife, I first think of the life story of my girlfriend, Soojin. I am thankful she was given the gift of life," Pyle tweeted.
When I think of the , I first think of the life story of my girlfriend, Soojin.
I am thankful she was given the gift of life.
The tweet doesn't appear to express any qualified support for the pro-life movement, or even for the March itself, just, it seems, that he's routinely reminded by the March that his girlfriend might not be here if it weren't for people who cared about unborn children and mothers who need help and support to take on the challenges of unexpected parenthood.
The tweet, though, was a cardinal sin against the Left's high holy sacrament, and Pyle required immediate and merciless punishment.
A "gender activist" who goes by the Twitter handle "Anarcho-Pavlovist" or "AnarchoPupGirl" initially tweeted Pyle's transgression with an all points bulletin: "Oh yikes, the cute alien comics dude is anti-abortion."

The Daily Dot declared "Strange Planet" "ruined" and began posting tweet-responses from Pyle's detractors, many of whom co-opted Pyle's signature characters into unfunny, overly preachy versions of his comic strip, lecturing Pyle about the "dangers" of siding with those who might believe unborn people are people, too.
Others accused Pyle of promoting "oppression" with a comic strip that has never once (in a cursory look at the "Strange Planet" Instagram account) mentioned anyting remotely political, least of all abortion.

it’s a strange planet alright, when women aren’t encouraged to have control over their own body.
Others tried to "educate" Pyle on the real reasons behind the dastardly March for Life. "This march isn't about celebrating the lives of loved ones," one particularly dense respondent replied. "It's about restricting the lives of strangers for the purpose of weaponizing childbirth in the service of Christian evangelism."
Others recounted how "thankful" they were for their own abortions, apparently in response to Pyle's being grateful that his girlfriend's life was not ended before she got to enjoy it.
Pyle felt obligated to apologize for his tweet, of course, and to note that he did not marry Soojin. In a post made on Tuesday, Pyle says that he and his wife Taylor have "private beliefs" and that they vote Democrat. He doesn't give a clue as to what his stance is on abortion, but does say that he and his wife are "troubled" by the Republican Party and "what it has become."

Unfortunately for Pyle, this is the Intenet, and his apology was not accepted.
"Yeah if your conception of Christian faith includes 'not supporting reproductive rights' I'm out. To think that someone whose better known creation is a comic called 'Strange Planet' wouldn't understand the necessity of questioning his own beliefs is... more than disappointing," read one response.
Others appeared to suggest that if Pyle did not make a more detailed statement about his thoughts on abortion, that the beatings would continue: "Hopefully you can understand why people would quite like a clarifying statement. We’re creators of content on a very public platform & people want to know whether they’re supporting & buying things from someone who believes in the limiting of women’s reproductive rights."

At least for Pyle, the incident can provide some fodder for his comic strip which does, in fact, focus on the absurdity of human life.
