Blinken Takes A Cop Out: US Won’t Ban Russian Oil Without ‘Permission’ From European Countries [VIDEO]

 

 

 

President Biden rolled out a sanctions package against Russia just days after their invasion of Ukraine but did virtually nothing to crack down on one of their most significant sources of revenue; Russian natural gas. Biden said that ‘all options’ were on the table when asked about cutting off Russian gas imports earlier this week.

Despite this, his administration has refused to ban the import of Russian oil in to the US. 

On Thursday, Biden kicked members of the press out of a cabinet meeting after they pressed him on the issue.

Today, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that the US is considering banning the import of Russian oil, but would only do so if other European countries agreed to it.  The Gateway Pundit Reports- 

 

 

Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Sunday said the US is “looking” at banning Russian oil nearly two weeks after Putin invaded Ukraine.

So far the only sanctions against Russia have hurt the innocent civilians.

Big corporations such as Visa and Mastercard are also ‘canceling’ innocent Russian civilians as the US refuses to ban Russian oil imports.

Blinken suggested to “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd that the United States would not unilaterally make a decision to ban Russian oil.

“We are looking… in coordination with allies and partners at this prospect of banning [Russian] oil and gas,” Blinken said.

It is possible that the Biden administration could have prevented the Russian invasion of Ukraine from the start.  During Trump’s presidency, he placed sanctions on companies who assisted Russia in building the Nord Stream 2 pipeline in to Germany.  Those sanctions could have been used as leverage to prevent Putin’s invasion of Ukraine that has now killed thousands of people.

Instead, Biden chose to remove the sanctions with no conditions.
