Attorney General Merrick Garland Slammed for Family Financial Interest in Attempt to Target ‘Domestic Terrorist’ Parents at School Board Meetings

Attorney General Merrick Garland is testifying today on Capitol Hill about numerous topics of concern, but Republicans are drilling him for his conflict of interest regarding Critical Race Theory.

Garland was called out today for agreeing with the school board organization’s letter inferring that angry parents at school board meetings are “domestic terrorists.” After angry parents gathered to complain about CRT being taught in their child’s classroom, the attempt to silence them was to threaten that they would be investigated.

The problem with Garland is his son-in-law has a financial stake in keeping CRT in the classroom, creating a conflict of interest for the attorney general. He was asked about this today during the hearing on the Hill and was openly defiant:

Garland is claiming parents are free to speak but the intent by the letter sent to him inferred that parents could be labeled ‘domestic terrorists.’

One teacher openly called parents terrorists:

OUR EARLIER REPORT ON GARLAND’S CONFLICT OF INTEREST:

Joe Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland has everyone up in arms over his announcement (see complete statement below) calling for the FBI to investigate parents who are ‘confrontational, intimidating or harassing’ to school board members.

The outrage over ASG Garland’s attempt to silence and intimidate parents across America is loud and clear. Parents from both sides of the aisle are speaking up to say this is an effort to shut them up.

There is a plot twist in the attempt to silence Americans. You can’t make this up. It just so happens that AG Garland’s daughter is married to the co-founder of a company that is providing materials that teach Critical Race Theory.

Rebecca Garland’s husband, Xan Tanner, is the co-founder of Panorama Education…distributor of CRT materials:

The Conservative Treehouse captured a screenshot of a statement from the company promoting a “renewed focus on systemic racism”:

The company isn’t suffering for funds. Just last month, Tanner raised $60 million in funds to expand the business:

Panorama Education has raised $60 million in a Series C round of funding led by General Atlantic.

Tanner’s mission is to “improve racial and cultural climate on campus.”

“By asking students to reflect on their experiences of equity and inclusion in school, education leaders can gather actionable data to understand and improve the racial and cultural climate on campus.” ~ Panorama Education, Xan Tanner Co-founder

Parents pushing to get rid of CRT in the classroom hurt AG Garland’s son-in-law’s business. The attempt to silence concerned parents is a serious and unAmerican offense. AG Garland must answer for this.

Could AG Garland have a significant conflict of interest with his effort to silence parents? We think so.
