Dramatic moment cop jumps from second-storey window of her home and breaks her leg while fleeing husband 'who threatened her with her own gun' after accusing her of adultery

Shocking footage shows the moment an off-duty NYPD officer jumped out of the second-story window of her Queens home to escape her husband, who was allegedly threatening her with her own gun after accusing her of cheating.

The officer, whose identity has not been released, was being held hostage by her husband who accused her of adultery and took her service weapon before firing at cops as they tried to rescue her, police officials said Tuesday.

In a 33-second video clip, taken on the cell phone of someone watching the scene unfold, the officer could be seen dangling her legs out of the window and turning her body around to grasp for the ledge before letting go and dropping below.

The subsequent fall left the alleged domestic abuse victim with a broken leg.

Seconds after she lands, a barrage of bullets could be heard as her husband and police engaged in gunfire. The cop who disappeared from view after she jumped, was treated at a local hospital for a broken leg, according to police.

The cop called 911 on Tuesday morning before escaping by jumping out of the second-story window of the couple’s home in Queens as the enraged husband exchanged gunfire with cops, police said Tuesday morning.

The officer, who works for the 101st Precinct, told the 911 dispatcher that her husband was threatening her with a loaded gun and that there were ‘multiple guns in the house,’ sources told the New York Post.

‘He’s pulled a gun on me,’ the woman reportedly said. ‘He will shoot.’

The woman could be heard yelling away from the phone, 'Put my f*****g guns down, dummy,' before begging to the dispatcher, 'Please send the cops.'

'You committed adultery, you cheated on me,' her husband allegedly said in the background of the 911 call, which was obtained by the New York Post.

Chief of Department Rodney Harrison said the off-duty cop was treated for what appeared to be a broken leg during a press conference outside the woman’s house at 130th Street and 133rd Avenue in South Ozone Park.

Cops raced to the scene at around 8:30 a.m. after the 911 call to find the woman's husband armed and threatening to shoot them, cops said. Officers with the NYPD Emergency Service Unit were called in an attempt to de-escalate the situation.

However, the husband opened fire multiple times, cops said. While the suspect was engaged in the standoff with police, his wife jumped out a second-story window.

The husband was hit in the arm during the shootout, police said.

He immediately stopped shooting and a hostage negotiation team coaxed him into coming outside, where he was taken into custody, officials said.

‘Although someone did get shot, no one lost their life and that’s what’s most important,’ said Detective Brenda Reddick, who led the negotiation.

‘Unfortunately, we respond to a host of different domestics throughout the city,’ Harrison said. ‘Very rarely do we get one where it’s one our own, but it was great work done by the men and women who responded to this location.’
