'They got the laptop': Feds release pic of evidence suggesting Capitol rioter, 22, did steal Nancy Pelosi's laptop as her ex-boyfriend claims she tried to sell it to Russia
Prosecutors have released a new photograph that they say is from Riley Williams' camera phone and shows the moment Nancy Pelosi's laptop was stolen from her office during the January 6 riots.
Williams' former boyfriend told investigators that the 22-year-old stole the HP machine and 'attempted to sell it to Russians'.
The ex, referred to in court documents as W1, told investigators that friends of Williams had played him a video that showed her stealing the device.
They said, according to the court documents, that she 'intended to send the computer device to a friend in Russia, who then planned to sell the device to SVR, Russia's foreign intelligence service'.

The plan fell through, and Williams was arrested in Pennsylvania on Monday on charges of entering a restricted building, violent entry, and disorderly conduct.
The care worker had traveled from her Harrisburg home, where she lived with her mother, with her father to the Trump 'Stop the Steal' rally. The pair became separated and did not reunite until the evening, for the journey home.
Williams was arrested on Monday and new theft charges were added on Tuesday
On Tuesday prosecutors filed an amended complaint, which added an additional charge of aiding and abetting theft of government property - a charge for which she could be sentenced to ten years in prison.
The amended documents included a screenshot of a four-second video found on a cell phone, which they had obtained on Monday.
In the clip, prosecutors say, the person holding the cell phone camera is standing, angling the camera down toward a wooden desk with an HP laptop. Prosecutors believe Williams is holding the phone.
The FBI special agent investigating Williams' case said that the voiceover for the clip matched that of Williams, as seen in footage from Britain's ITV News.
The agent stated: 'A female voice that I believe to be WILLIAMS' based on my review of the ITV YouTube video described above can be heard saying, 'Dude, put on gloves.'
Investigators with the FBI said that Williams was clearly identifiable at the riots on January 6
'Next, what appears to be a man's arm then reaches toward the laptop, with a black glove covering his hand, and begins to lift the laptop off the table.
'There is text across the video clip that reads: 'they got the laptop.''
Messages which prosecutors say were from Williams read: 'I stole s*** from Nancy Polesi (sic).'
Another read: 'I domt care I took Nancy Polesis hard drives I dont care kill me.'
Pelosi's deputy chief of staff, Drew Hammill, tweeted two days after the attack that a laptop stolen was from a conference room that was used for presentations.
Williams is still being held in custody.

In the clip she is heard repeatedly yelling: 'Upstairs, upstairs, upstairs,' and can be seen physically directing other intruders to proceed up a staircase.
The staircase in question leads to the office of Speaker Pelosi, the FBI said.
Her mother told police that she recognized her daughter in the video footage inside the Capitol and that her daughter had recently taken a sudden interest in Trump's politics and 'far-right message boards.'
Prior to her capture, the FBI said that Williams has changed her phone number and deleted her accounts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit, Telegram and Parler. She then ran away from home.
More than 125 people have been arrested so far on charges related to the violent insurrection led by Trump supporters at the Capitol.
Charges range from curfew violations to serious federal felonies related to theft and weapons possession.
Five people were killed during the siege, including one US Capitol Police officer who was struck in the head with a fire extinguisher.
The FBI and other law enforcement agencies continue to search for the identities of several other individuals who were photographed rioting in the Capitol.
