He faces more than 20 years in federal prison if convicted, the Democrat & Chronicle reported.

Videos show Pezzola, a Marine Corps veteran, using a riot shield to break windows and enter the capitol.

'Victory smoke in the Capitol, boys. This is f**king awesome. I knew we could take this motherf**ker over [if we] just tried hard enough,' Pezzola said, according to a criminal complaint

The witness also said that Pezzola 'bragged about breaking the windows to the Capitol and entering the building.'

It took 14 minutes to evacuate Pence from the Senate Chamber after the MAGA mob first broke into the building, according to law enforcement officials and video footage obtained by The Washington Post.

Secret Service agents eventually managed to convince the VP to leave and rushed him and his family into an office before they were taken to a second secure location.

Less than 60 seconds after Pence was taken to his hideaway, a violent crowd followed a Capitol officer up a flight of stairs - just 33 yards from the office but away from the chamber where many lawmakers still remained.

The FBI is investigating 37 people over the death of Capitol cop Brian Sicknick who was reportedly beaten to death with a fire extinguisher during the riots last week.

The New York Times reports that the bureau is pursuing 37 people over Sicknick's death but no one has been arrested yet.

None of them have been identified.

Sicknick, 42, was trying to fight the crowd off when he was hit in the head with a fire extinguisher.

No footage of that attack has yet emerged but other videos from the riot show the mob using fire extinguishers as weapons, tossing them towards cops and spraying them in their faces.

On Friday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi raised the possibility of criminal prosecutions of Republican lawmakers if they are found to have provided Capitol tours to people who took part in the Capitol riots.

Speaking to reporters days after the House voted to impeach President Trump for inciting insurrection, Pelosi responded to claims by multiple lawmakers who have raised alarms about the tours on the eve of the riots.

'If in fact it is found that members of Congress were accomplices to this insurrection – if they aided and abetted the crimes – there may have to be actions taken beyond the Congress in terms of prosecution for that,' Pelosi said.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is telling his Republican colleagues President Trump's impeachment trial will be a 'vote of conscience' – an absence of pressure that effectively allows them to vote guilty.
