'Just take me to jail!' Drunk Florida man is pulled over while driving a LAWNMOWER on the highway and gives brutally honest confession to cops trying to carry out sobriety test: 'There is no sense in it because I have been drinking'

A drunk Florida man gave a brutally honest confession to cops trying to carry out a sobriety test on him saying 'there is no sense in it because I have been drinking' after he was pulled over for driving a lawnmower down the middle of a highway.
Paul Burke, of Fort McCoy, was arrested on a DUI charge after he was caught on Highway 316 in Marion County Wednesday night.
The drunk man, who had three previous DUI convictions before this latest incident, told cops he was driving both to and from his home.
He then admitted he had 'maybe a little too much to drink tonight' and told officers to arrest him because he 'cannot walk'.

Shocking dashcam footage released by the Marion County Sheriff's Office shows the officers pulling Burke over by the side of the highway, where he was riding his lawnmower far slower than the 55 mph speed limit.
'You know you're in the road, right?' a deputy asks Burke.
'Was I?' the drunk man slurs in response.
'You were. How much you have to drink tonight?' the officer asks.
Burke responds telling him he has only had 'a couple', which the deputy then casts doubt on: 'A couple? I think it's a little more than a couple.'

Burke then admits he may have downplayed the number of drinks he has had.
'Okay. I'm not gonna lie to you,' he says.
When asked where he is headed, Burke says he is both going to and coming from his home.
The drunk man then rambles: 'Are you going to take me to jail or not?'
The officer tells him he wants him to do sobriety exercises, Burke tells him it isn't necessary because he is too drunk to perform them.

'I have been drinking. I'm going to be honest with you,' he says. 'There's no sense in it... because I've been drinking.'
He then tells the officer he doesn't have a driver's license and that he is trying to be 'as nice a guy as I can'.
'Listen to me sir. I have no license at all, I have no driver's license at all,' he says.
Burke asks the officer again if he is going to arrest him.
'Are you going to take me to jail? I cannot walk,' he says.
The cop replies: 'Why not?'
'Because I've been drinking too much,' Burke admits, slurring 'I have had maybe a little too much to drink tonight.'
The drunk man then says he will 'try' to do the sobriety test and is seen stumbling by the side of the highway.
Burke asks the deputy if he can 'just give me a ticket and be done with that' but he is told no.
'So I'm going to ask you one more time if you want to do these exercises,' the deputy says.
Burke has been convicted on DUI charges three times in the past and had his license suspended or revoked seven times for previous DUIs or refusals to submit to a breath test, officials said

'No sir, just take me to jail,' Burke replies.
Per his wishes, Burke was arrested and taken into custody on a DUI charge.
This marked the latest in a long rap sheet for driving under the influence.

'Driving a lawnmower in the middle of a road where the speed limit is 55mph is dangerous and illegal,' Marion County Sheriff's deputies wrote in a Facebook post.
'Add being drunk into the mix, it can be come fatal.'
