Steven Spielberg’s Daughter Says Porn Career Supported By Father

On Wednesday, Mikaela Spielberg spoke openly about her budding career as a porn actress, which the 23-year-old said her legendary filmmaking father, Steven Spielberg, supports.
Mikaela, who goes by the porn name “Sugar Star,” has been self-producing her own pornographic videos, she told U.K. tabloid The Sun on Wednesday, and is looking to obtain a sex worker license in Tennessee, where she resides.
Over the weekend, Mikaela told Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw about her adult film career via FaceTime, she revealed. Spielberg and Capshaw, who adopted Mikaela as a baby, were “intrigued” and “not upset” upon hearing the news, she says.
“My safety has always been a number one priority for them,” Mikaela said of her parents.
“I’m doing this, not out of an urge to hurt anybody or be spiteful about it, I’m doing this because I want to honor my body in a way that’s lucrative,” she continued, noting that she hopes to become financially independent from her wealthy parents.
“I actually think that once they see how far I’ve come from the bottom I was at a year and a half ago, they’re going to look at this and go, ‘Wow, we actually raised are really self-assured, young lady,” added Mikaela.
Posting a provocative photo of herself to Instagram on Tuesday, Mikaela captioned the post with a warning about folks who suggest she’s being disrespectful to her family. “Also if you say me having my body on display is disrespectful to my family I will quite literally yeet you into the sun,” she wrote.

Mikaela has been open about suffering from mental health issues including anorexia, borderline personality disorder, and alcoholism, The Sun noted.
The 23-year-old posted videos of herself on PornHub, but has since taken them down while she waits for her sex worker license. While Mikaela produces pornographic content of herself, she stops short of having sex with other people on-screen out of respect for her 47-year-old fiancé Chuck Pankow.
“It took him a long time to come around to it because obviously in the South there’s so much shame around that still,” Mikaela said of Pankow.
“We still have this idea of what women can and cannot be – this is such a de-legitimized form of work,” she continued. “Even though it’s legal to be an adult actor and make and write erotica privately, you you can’t do it publicly without a license in Tennessee.”
“Chuck’s been super supportive, but it took him a while to get to that spot because he wasn’t sure how his social group would react to it,” added Mikaela. “And thus far, it hasn’t been the best, but that was expected because of the environment we live in right now.”
“[T]he reason I don’t want to do anything outside of solo stuff is because I feel like it would be a violation of my boundaries and my relationship with my significant other,” she noted.

The 23-year-old told The Sun that her base audience is older white males and noted that she believes she’ll be “great at fetish work.”
“Honestly I have hated my chest for so long but I’ve finally learned to embrace it,” she explained. “That was one of the things when I uploaded these first couple of videos, I realized, ‘This is the moneymaker’ – my large chest.”
“And it was actually really nice and refreshing to have people saying cool things – because people can often say really upsetting things about a black woman’s body sometimes,” Mikaela added.
