'We're being burgled, they are in the house!': Terrifying moment thieves smash down a front door before barging their way into a family home

Axe-wielding raiders broke down a family's front door as the owners watched live CCTV footage of the terrifying burglary through their security system.
One of the helpless homeowners can be heard yelling at his wife: "We're being burgled, we're being burgled."
The four masked raiders were armed with an axe, a knife and a bottle containing what the victims believe was acid when they ransacked the house.
They have been left reeling following the break-in and fear they would have been attacked had they been home at the time.
Footage captured by the two-way security system shows the men breaking down the door of the semi-detached house in Bexley, south-east London just after 9pm on Wednesday night.
The lights are on in homes across the street, and a car passes by moments after the men force their way inside.
One of the burglars says "It's Indians, mate" as another takes a running jump and kicks in the front door.
The men, wearing masks and caps, rush inside and eventually after stealing cash and jewellery.
The homeowners watched the burglary unfold on their two-way, Wi-Fi enabled security system which allows them to watch live video.
The distraught husband tells his wife: "Phone the police, we're being burgled. They're in the house, they're in the house."
The alarm goes off and the men soon emerge and run off carrying objects from the home.
It is believed they fled in a silver car that was parked nearby. No-one has been arrested.
Scotland Yard said officers responded within five minutes of the burglary call, but the suspects were already gone when the first car arrived on scene.
The couple's son-in-law posted the video on Facebook , where he appealed for witnesses to help catch the raiders.
The son-in-law wrote: "My father in laws house in bexley just got robbed 9:18pm 29/08/18 broke in front door, absolute scum, any info please get back to me.
"Luckily no one was home. My father in law is speaking through ring door bell.
"Luckily they didn't harm our dog we left in a room. They are heard saying 'its indians mate' and also a knife, and pick axe is seen.
"Also a bottle of some sort which i assume ls acid to throw on someone if answered, my father in law had called a few neighbors on road, you can see one of them getting chased."
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 9.21pm on Wednesday, 29 August to reports of a burglary in progress at a residential address in Bexley.
"The victim called police after he was alerted to the burglary via his home security system.
"Officers attended within five minutes of the call, but the suspects had left the premises.
"The suspects, who had their faces covered, gained entry by forcing open the front door. Cash and jewellery were reported stolen.
"The four suspects made off in an awaiting car, which was possibly silver in colour. No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.
