How many people died in WW2 Explained Graphically (9 Pics)

The US and Britain each lost a bit over 400k soldiers.  Germany lost a little more than 500k fighting them on the Western Front.  Each figure represents 1000 dead.
But Russia, tho. The Eastern Front.
500k Germans died in Stalingrad alone.  The Soviets "won" but lost almost a million in the battle.  Look at the totals of just that one battle as compared to the entire Western Front.
The Soviets threw troops at the Nazis.  These deaths do not include the more than a million civilians who starved in Leningrad after resorting to cannibalism or the million Stalin killed in the Gulags during the war.  These are just soldiers.
And soldiers and soldiers and soldiers.
Remember, each figure is 1000 dead.  Again, NOT counting civilians.  If we included civilians, the figure would be over 20 million in the Soviet Union.
Please note the Pacific Theater is not included in this set.  The US won that part of the war for the world.  but 8 out of every 10 Nazis killed in the war was killed by a Russian.
Did you know that out of the 6 million Jews murdered in the Holocaust that almost half of them were Polish?
If this is hard to see, it is showing that more than a million Jews were murdered in Auschwitz.  More than the total combat deaths of the US and UK combined.
