Janis Joplin's high school yearbook photo, 1960.
Dave Grohl, Ru Paul, tiny Frances Bean, and Kurt Cobain. The shit eating grin on Grohl kills me, and Kurt's death grip on his child's

Speaking of Arnold Schwarzenegger, screentests for Junior,1994.
Woof. Here's a very a typical photo of Judy Garland, a test for Annie Get Your Gun. She was always late to set and often combative, so they released her and eventually hired Betty Hutton for the role which she made famous.

Anthony Perkins, Alfred Hitchcock and Janet Leigh in a casual moment on the set of Psycho. You so rarely see Hitch laugh. Side story: Apparently Hitchcock was a notorious prankster, and pretty mean spirited and dogged about it. One of his most famous and meanest pranks involved a bet between him and a member of his crew to spend the night in a dark and spooky film set chained to a camera with a week’s salary on the line. Just before the bet got underway, Hitchcock offered some brandy to the man to help him sleep as a sign of good faith but by the following morning, the man and the rest of the crew learned that Hitchcock spiked the brandy with a strong laxative. The crew found the man just where Hitchcock left him, weeping in a puddle of his own filth.

Bruuuuuuuuuce in LA, 1975. He was there for the release of Born to Run. For a short while in the early 2000s I worked in the building in the background with the 9000 on the top. In my era, it was the corporate offices for House of Blues, among other boring office stuff. In the era of this shot of Bruce Springsteen/late 70s it housed a notorious dance club called Disco 9000, which at night would apparently have crazy laser light shows and loud music that you could see and hear for miles, apparently.
