Devastated grandfather with Parkinson’s disease 'kicked off Stagecoach bus for being TOO SLOW'

A grandfather with Parkinson’s disease was left "fuming" and "embarrassed" when an impatient driver allegedly kicked him off the bus for being too slow to show his pass.
Sean Doyle says he was shown up when the driver would not wait for him to get his pass out on Thursday (March 29), saying to him: "I have got passengers and they need to get home".
The 54-year-old, who is unable to walk more than 100 yards, explained how he was struggling to get to his pass after being caught in a downpour - as his hands were so cold he couldn't move them.
Stagecoach says it is investigating reports he was then forced to get off the bus in the pouring rain reports Kent Live.
Mr Doyle explained: “I have got Parkinson’s so I went to Citroen to enquire about a mobility car. As I left it was pouring with rain, and I tried to get a cab but there wasn’t any.
“I asked a stranger where the nearest bus stop was, and managed to get a bus straight away.
“I was completely drenched, I couldn’t move my fingers or my hands.
“The bus driver could see I was struggling to get on the bus, but told me to hurry up because he was 15 minutes late.
“I was trying to get my pass out of my coat, but he turned round and said to the whole bus ‘I have got passengers and they need to get home’.
“There was only one bloke on there, but it was really embarrassing."
The alleged incident happened after Mr Doyle was trying to catch a bus at Cubitt House in Black Bull Road in Folkestone,
Mr Doyle, who has mobility issues and sometimes has to walk with a frame, is now calling on Stagecoach employees to be more aware of those with disabilities.
He added: “I looked like a drowned rat. He probably thought I was drunk and a down and out. But the only reason I was a bit slow is because I have got Parkinson’s.
“I just couldn’t believe it. I was absolutely fuming.
"I told him I have got Parkinson’s, but he just mumbled something to himself.
“These drivers need to be more sympathetic about people with disabilities, and learn what they actually are.
“If you looked at me, you wouldn’t realise I had it unless I started moving.
“At the end of the day it's not my fault he was late.”
A spokesman for Stagecoach said: “We were concerned to hear these allegations and immediately launched an investigation after being notified.
“We do not condone this type of behaviour and if proven we will take appropriate action.”
