Huntswoman 'repeatedly whips a balaclava-clad saboteur with a riding crop as he hangs off the neck of her horse' in an ugly clash caught on camera (5 Pics)

A woman on horseback appears to repeatedly whip a hunt saboteur with a riding crop after he tried to stop her “charging down” his fellow protesters in shocking footage.
In the video the furious rider screams “get off my horse ” and strikes out wildly at the masked man as he tries to grab onto the reins during an alleged clash with the East Sussex & Romney Marsh Hunt Club on Saturday.
Saboteurs claim she lashed him with her horse whip 17 times before charging at their group on marshland near the village of Pevensey.
But others commented that it looked as though the rider was protecting her horse after it was 'spooked' by protesters.
Footage of the ugly confrontation was later posted on the Brighton Hunt Saboteurs’ Facebook page and has been viewed more than 350,000 times.

It shows the woman riding towards the sabs, telling them to “get back to the road”.
She then appears to spur her horse into a man holding up a video camera, pushing him back several feet.
Another masked man rushes in front of the horse and takes hold of the bridle.
But the huntswoman flies into a rage, yelling “get off my horse, get off my horse” as she is seen whipping the man again and again.
He desperately tries to shield his face while still holding on to the horse, shouting: “Stop using it as a weapon.”
A hunt steward pushes him away and blasts: “Get off the f***ing horse. Don’t grab f***ing horses.”
The female rider then appears to take a swipe at another protester, forcing him to jump out the way.
The sabs warn that everything is being recorded, and one shouts: “Don’t charge horses into people. You cannot ride people down.”
A second clip then appears to show the same woman charging her horse at the sabs from behind.
Brighton Hunt Saboteurs said they attended the meeting to make sure no illegal hunting took place.
They insist they were the victims of an unprovoked attack and claim the huntswoman simply “lost the plot”.
But many viewers commented that the protesters provoked the animal and scared it.
Jamie Hail said: "You hold on to a womans horse, completely spooking it and causing danger to both the rider, the horse and those around you - and you don't expect any reconciliation for doing so?"
Michael McCloy commented: "You do get how dangerous it is to spook a horse right? Not just for rider but the horse as well you’re idiots."
Audrey McLean said: "Clearly shows the rider hitting the man with her crop PROTECTING her horse and I’m sure any equestrian would do the same if some stranger grabbed hold of their animal I know I would."
Sussex Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesman for the force said: "A third party report of an assault has been made after a man was allegedly struck with a riding crop by a horse rider in Herstmonceux on Saturday (November 18).
"The incident happened in a field off Church Road around 12.30pm. The victim was reported to have received a bruise and bump to the head, but did not require medical treatment.
“The informant was not a witness to the incident, but police have now identified the alleged victim and an investigation is under way.
"Police are aware of a video reportedly showing the incident being available on social media.”

A hunt spokeswoman said: "The East Sussex and Romney Marsh Hunt does not condone any form of violence even when faced with extreme provocation, personal harassment and other offences.
"The hunt acts lawfully within the confines of the Hunting Act 2004 and takes every measure to ensure the law is adhered to."
