Tearful blogger who leaked footage of her Apple engineer dad's iPhone X on YouTube says he's been FIRED and begs people not to harass him

Apple has reportedly fired an engineer after his daughter posted a video showing off the brand new iPhone X.
Brooke Amelia Peterson posted a hands-on video of the new gadget to YouTube after visiting the Apple campus to see her father and take a look at the iPhone X. The video went viral and, as a result, Apple dismissed her father for violating an Apple company rule by allowing her to film the handset.
The company is famnously secretive about its new products and, at the time of the filming, the iPhone X was still an unreleased device.
Peterson explained that her father had been let go by the company in a second video uploaded soon afterwards.
According to reports, Apple asked Peterson to remove the video but by then it had been picked up and spread around by other media outlets.
Although Apple has allowed some filming of its gadget prior to release, this particular one had sensitive information displayed on it that could be seen in the video.
A notes app displayed in the video has codenames of unreleased Apple products and special employee-only QR codes can also be seen.
Apple also has strict rules about filming on its campus. Other hands-on videos with the iPhone X - including Mirror Tech's own - were all shot under closely guarded conditions in a separate location.
It appears that the Apple engineer had been at the company for around four years. In her follow-up video, Peterson explained that she and her father understood the decision and weren't angry at Apple.
However, she hit out at the abuse that has been directed her way since the news broke.
“You know what guys? Hate on me all you want, but please don’t hate on my father, because he’s the best person," she said.
“At the end of the day, when you work for Apple it doesn’t matter how good of a person you are, if you break a rule you’ve gotta go.”
She said: “I’m not mad at Apple, I’m not going to stop buying Apple products. Rules are in place for the safety and happiness of workers, and my dad takes absolutely full responsibility for the one rule that he broke.”
